I am married to Richard and have four children Malachy, Finlay, Daisy and Sonny. I started work at Adel Pre-School in 2013 and during my time I completed Early Years Teacher Status and Level 3 Forest School, I took over as Manager in 2019 which was an exciting opportunity for me.  I am great believer in children learning through play in a home from home environment. Family is an important thing in my life and want to ensure that the Adel Pre-School Family is welcoming and open to parents so they feel part of their child’s first steps into education.

I am mum of three children Harry, Izzy and Jimmy and I also have two cockapoos Willow and Woody who sometimes pay a visit to Pre-school which they love to do nearly as much as the children love seeing them! All three of my children attended Adel Pre-School and when Harry joined not long after I joined the committee and became Treasurer a role I started in 2006, when my time had come to leave pre-school with Jimmy we were unable to persuade a parent to take the roll on so I became employed in 2012, my role as grown along with the Pre-School and I now manage the financial side of the business. Although I don’t work directly with children I do love to spend the odd crazy half and hour playing with them.

I have been at Adel Pre-School for 4 years now. I started as a one to one with a little boy and when he left I was offered a full time place. I have a foundation degree in early years which I graduated for in 2015. I am also currently Nanning for two children 4 days a week after pre-school, I also help with the local guide unit and have been for several years. My favourite part of my job is to get messy with the children, the messier the better, from corn flour gloop to the messy mud kitchen, the children express so much happiness. I am currently running the 2 year old activity sessions within Pre-school and am in charge of the outdoor experience.

I have been working at Adel Pre-School since 1997.  I am married to Paul and we have three grown up children Christopher, Simon and Nicola who all attended Adel Pre-School when they were 3 years old.  They are now a Mechanical Engineer, Medical Engineer and Forensic Scientist proving that Adel Pre-School was a good start to their education!  I love being a part of the Adel Pre-School family and watching how the children grown in their knowledge and confidence and knowing that I was one of the adults who helped them on their journey.

Early Years Educator Level 3

I am a mum to three girls Abigail, Amelia and Ava.  All three of my girls attended Adel Pre-School, so it has always been an important place in my life.  I was really excited to start working at pre-school and completing my Level 3 as an Early Years Educator which I passed in the Summer of 2022, I am now studying to complete Level 5.

I have always enjoyed working with children and used to run the Wacky Warehouse at The Lawnswood Arms.  I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family relaxing or exploring nearby woods and nature trails.
